PRÉSENTATION DU COURS DE CONDUITE

The passenger vehicle driving course is developed using a competency-based program approach.

It is divided into 12 modules that alternate classroom training, self-study and road trips. This alternating formula allows the knowledge and skills acquired in class and during self-study to be put into practice during road trips. In addition, this formula favours a better integration of the knowledge, know-how and life skills targeted by the course.

The 12 modules of the course are grouped into 4 phases:

Phase 1which is a prerequisite for obtaining a learner's permit and includes modules 1 to 5

Phase 2which includes modules 6 and 7, and during which the learner makes his or her first road trips in supervised driving

Phase 3which includes modules 8 to 10, and during which the learner makes road trips in semi-supervised driving

Phase 4which includes modules 11 and 12, and during which the learner goes on road trips with increasingly independent driving
